Be patient
Things take time to grow.
When the farmer plants, does he expect a crop the next day? No, it takes months. He patiently waits.
When a developer announces the opening of a high-rise office building, does he expect 100 percent occupancy the first day? That, too, takes time.
Be patient in your monetary planting. It may be a while before the returns come in. A farmer who tramps across his fields looking for green shoots simply wastes his time. The growth will happen whether he frets over it or not.
Impatience leads to anxiety over small setbacks, and loss of long-term vision.
Jacob invested seven years of hard labor in his quest for Rachel's hand in marriage. After that, he was cheated by his father-in-law and had to work another seven years in order to marry the woman he loved. That's patience. Yet in the end it was worth it.
